CALC Support Project

Each year, TASP designates a fundraising recipient for its community support project at the annual convention. The 2022 Children’s Assistance for Living Committee (CALC) has selected Bo's Place to be the recipient. Bo's Place is a non-profit organization in the Houston area and offers grief support groups to give bereaved adults, children, and families a safe place to express their thoughts and feelings with others on a similar journey. All grief support groups are offered free of charge. They also provide a resource library that may be helpful for mental health professionals working in the schools.

Mission

Bo's Place is a non-profit, free-of-charge bereavement center that offers multiple grief support services for adults, children, and families and provides education and resources for those who assist people in grief.

Vision

Bo's Place exists to enhance the lives of those who have experienced the death of a loved one and operates on the belief that it is helpful and healing for grieving children and adults to share their stories, memories, experiences, thoughts, and feelings with those who can understand their journey.
