This position will involve teaching, research, service and program support in a National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) approved School Psychology specialist program. Preferences include teaching and research experience in child psychopathology, emotional/behavioral evaluation, and intervention. Other duties will include program leadership, supervision of practica and internship, student advisement and mentoring, maintaining an active research program, and service to the program, department, and university.
Qualifications
Required:
Applicant must have doctoral degree from a recognized school psychology program accredited by NASP or the American Psychological Association (APA). Applicant must be eligible for Texas licensure as a psychologist and/or a licensed specialist in school psychology (LSSP).
Preferred:
Preferences include certification from the National School Psychology Certification Board, university teaching experience, a theoretical orientation consistent with broadly defined school mental health service programs, demonstrated competence in teaching in a variety of areas. Other preferred qualifications include experience supervising practicum and internship students, student advisement and mentoring, an active research program, proficiency in Spanish, and incorporation of instructional technology.
