Form over Function: A Discussion of School Psychology Law in Texas

This introductory level program will begin with an overview of Texas statutes and administrative rules that govern the provision of psychological services in Texas primary and secondary schools.  The primary focus of the presentation is to discuss the current regulatory climate and identify specific legal issues facing school psychology personnel in Texas.  The expected learning outcome is for attendees to attain a clear understanding of the licensure and practice limitations imposed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists rules and be able to identify significant areas of apparent conflict between TEA rules and Psychology Board Rules.
