Diagnostic and Treatment Applications of BASC-2 in Behavioral RTI: An Advanced Training on the BASC-2 and Its New RTI Component

This workshop will emphasize applications of the BASC-2 in a 3-Tiered RTI model and review its many new components, including applications to universal screening, selection of evidence-based interventions, diagnosis of specific disorders, and applications of the BASC-2 software in evaluating response to intervention for behavioral programming. At the conclusion of this workshop, attendees will:
  1. Be able to choose among the BASC-2 components for use in each Tier;
  2. Understand the principal scales on the BASC-2 are associated with specific diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorders, pediatric bipolar disorder, ADHD, and childhood depression;
  3. Be able to apply BASC-2 results to diagnosis and intervention processes accurately in all 3 Tiers of RTI;
  4. Be able to apply the BASC-2 to monitor in the effectiveness of intervention programs in RTI and related contexts;
  5. Be able to choose and implement evidence-based interventions for emotional and behavioral disorders in the schools.
