This session provides an overview of the Texas Collaborative for Emotional Development in Schools (TxCEDS), an interagency collaborative group formed by the Texas Education Agency, whose purpose is to develop a guiding policy for schools and local education agencies on how to identify and alleviate social and emotional barriers to learning. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will have a better understanding of (a) existing and emerging wellness models and effective interventions, (b) how to develop collaborative partnerships for school-based social, emotional, and behavioral support systems, and (c) how to identify and allocate needed resources to establish a continuum of support services. Participants at all skill levels are invited to attend.
