Safe and Civil Schools: Interventions for Positive Behavior Management

This session presents an organizational model that matches student needs (target and intensive) to levels of behavior support. Each level is based on proven problem-solving practices–moving from the things all teachers should implement to more-intensive interventions. Data is collected at each level to determine “response to intervention” and progression to more intensive intervention as needed. A menu of 18 evidence based interventions will be provided with information on the essential implementation steps for each. This session is appropriate for educators working with students in grades K-12, and is geared to an intermediate skill level of practitioner.
